I aM mE

America's Best Dance Crew has a new champion, I aM mE! Season 6 might not have been the strongest season, but it was definitely one of the most amusing.  10 crews battled for two months, and at the end it was only Iconic Boyz and I aM mE. And yeah, many of us will still wonder how Iconic Boyz ended up in the final two, and not Phunk Phenomenon. It will remain a mystery. Though many say that pre-teen girls with cellphones may have been the cause.  Enough said, Iconic Boyz did pull off some good performances, but it was the 'visionaries' I aM mE  that amazed America.  So lets look back at some highlights to point out why they deserved the championship...

Throughout ABDC's history we've seen the best of the best.  From isolation perfectionists, super b-boys, stunt workers, girls that call themselves heroes, and robotic performers.  Yet I aM mE, though they can do all of the above (expect for b-boying), really did something else, and I mean it in a very good way. "Inspire, Motivate, and Energize" is their slogan and of course what I aM mE stands for.  And they sure did just that.  Taking something (everyday activity, figure, thing that moves, animal, etc.) and incorporating it in a congregate way with their dance routines. And if you saw their performances you'd know what I mean...remember the Peacock?

Week 1 Lil Wayne challenge. The crew created some sort of rubik box, this performance was their opening number, and marked the essence of I aM mE. (Picture from mtv.com)
Week 3 Black Eyed Peas challenge.  This time a machine, precise movements with a very creative routine. Later in the performance they created a transformer. (Picture from mtv.com)
Week 4 Katy Perry challenge. I aM mE  perhaps showed everyone why their style and creativity was so unique when they created a peacock... yeah a peacock that flared out and ran across the dance floor.  Pretty cool i'd say. (Pictures from mtv.com)
Week 5 Rihanna challenge. For many this was the performance of the season. Chachi (top and center) literally surfed on the crew members which later created spiderwebs and pulled off an impressive spider dance that ultimately delivered an energetic, intense, and memorable performance. Week 7 Nicki Minaj challenge. Already season 6 favorites, I aM mE bring a playground to life and takes it to a new level. (Picture from mtv.com)

I aM mE will definitely be remembered as one of ABDC's most diverse and creative dance crews. The routines and images they created known as the 'Brain-Bang' will always remind everyone that dance has no limits, and you can make it YOUR own.
